Why I’m Running

I’m running for the school board because I care deeply about the strength of our public schools and the role they play in the health of our community.

I believe school board service is about thoughtful governance — listening, asking good questions, and making decisions that are grounded in both fiscal responsibility and student well-being. My professional and personal leadership experience has shown me the importance of collaboration, transparency, and planning for long-term outcomes rather than short-term reactions.

In Watertown, we’re facing real challenges, including declining enrollment, staffing pressures, and increasingly complex student needs. I believe these challenges require steady leadership, respect for educator expertise, and honest conversations with the community about priorities and trade-offs.

I’m running because I want to contribute to a school board culture that is focused, respectful, and student-centered — one that supports educators, values community input, and keeps the long-term health of Watertown’s public schools at the forefront.

Students First. Community Always.
